Paw-some Ideas for a Puppy Party

If you have a furry-friend loving child like me, who wants a puppy-themed birthday party, then you have to check out some of these cute ideas from Long Treats & Decor. This was the first year my six year old was allowed to invite his friends from school over for a birthday party, along with the other dozen children who are a mix of family and close friends' children. So, needless to say, there was going to be a lot of children. Instead of hosting the party at our home, which we would normally do, we opted to have it at a local indoor children's playground that offered birthday packages and a private party room. We're going to let them eat pizza and cake, then burn the energy out on the playground, without any of the cleanup at home afterwards. Score.

The downside of having it somewhere else is I couldn't go crazy on the decorations as I wanted too with the limited time allowed in the party room and no wall-decoration rule. So, instead I went for simple themed items like paw-print table covers, a custom 2-sided printed table centerpiece, and adorable party puppy edible printed toppers for the cupcakes. Plus, I went a little extra for the contents inside the loot bags, because I wasn't allowed to bring extra treats other than a cake or cupcakes into the facility.

Due to some of my guests allergies, I ended up making a totally delicious vegan, egg AND dairy-free cupcake with a dairy-free frosting for the top. So good, people had no idea until I told them. To decorate, I designed some cute party-ready puppy 2" round edible printed toppers, sold by yours truly.✨

The fun part was definitely going through my favorite platforms, Pinterest, Amazon and Temu looking for ideas for the goodie bags. So many cute items out there but the idea that stood out to me the most was the "adopt a puppy" stations. I ended up finding the CUTEST little stuffed puppy keychains on Amazon, a bit costly, but the highlight of the loot bags, for sure! When they arrived me and the boys wanted to keep them all, they were just so darn adorable.

I ended up getting most of the items for the loot bags from Temu, where I found paw-print bags, bracelets, and squishy sticky paws, along with stickers of funny dog photos. My idea was to avoid adding a bunch of junk candy from the store into the loot bags, instead I added a couple of favourite home-made treats like Melon-berry gourmet paw-shaped lollipops and bone-shaped sugar cookies to go with the puppy theme, of course.

I would say all the kids had a great time, I mean what kid doesn't like going to a cool indoor playground, getting some pizza and cupcakes, and leaving with a fun puppy-themed goody bag. The looks on their faces when they saw their little puppy pals in the bags where priceless. Plus, the sugar cookies and lollipops are ALWAYS a winner.
